The CMBB is the prospects for conducting far-reaching research in the field of molecular biology and biotechnology, as well as carrying out high-level, innovative projects in those fields.

1. Specialised laboratories:

The research interest of the Cognitive Linguistics, biolinguistics team focuses on the study of human linguistic ability (Faculty of Language FL). 
Analyses include: 
- from the perspective of cognitive linguistics and psycholinguistics - meaning conceptualization processes, emotions in language, aspects of embodied cognition, conceptual metaphors, conceptual integration processes, intersubjectivity, semantics of grammatical categories, semantic networks, aspects of L1 and L2 acquisition and processing, and the language-thought relationship,   

The fields of expertise:
- financial accounting (measurement, accounting models for specific fields i.e. real estate development, housing cooperatives, housing communities, energy industry, maritime industry),
- cost and management accounting,
- financial and nonfinancial reporting (separate and consolidated financial statements, IFRS, CSR, financial analyses of various entities),
- business valuation and valuation of specific items, i.e. intangible assets,
- NGO’s accounting.

Research directions of Department of Ecology and Anthropology are focused on:
- behavioural ecology of foraging birds in the feeders,
- ecology of the breeding and migration of C. ciconia,
- ecology of geese migration and stopovering,
- ecology of waterbirds (climate change and shift of species range, monitoring, foraging ecology, flooding and breeding riparian birds),
- migratory movement and wintering of the avian raptors, 
- photo-traps studies: monitoring, behavioural ecology of C. clanga, C. pomarina,

The team of the Department of Nursing consists of 12 ambitious people with high scientific potential, at least PhD degree and education in the fields of nursing, paramedics or midwifery. The staff conducts scientific and research activities in the areas of health sciences, which mainly focus on topics concerning:

The Centre for Research and Development of Innovative Therapies in Ophthalmology (CeRDITO) groups specialists working primarily on: 
- prevention, diagnosis and innovative treatment of common neurodegenerative eye diseases associated with age and environmental factors [age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, ischemic ocular neuropathy;

We are an interdisciplinary team of lawyers, public health and health policy specialists.

Experience:
- Analysis of legal acts in the field of determinants of medical professions, patient rights, drug advertising.
- Qualitative research on the functioning of psychiatric care and on the functioning of people with intellectual disabilities.
- Qualitative and quantitative research on the availability and quality of psychiatric health care.
- Quantitative research on Internet addiction.
- Quantitative research on attitudes towards disabled people.

The research team is involved in studying antioxidant properties of plants, edible oils, cosmetic raw materials and final cosmetic preparations. Moreover, in vitro penetration through human and/or animal skin of active substances contained in plant raw materials is also evaluated. The research team has authored 7 patent applications at the Polish Patent Office related to new biocidal preparations, analytical methods and new cosmetic substances with antioxidant properties. Up to now, 8 new intermediate products to prepare of cosmetic emulsions have been developed.
