Warsztat: A Communication Toolbox for Science & Tech Entrepreneurs
Innovation Forum Poland is pleased to invite you to the workshops that will be held on 24th April in Regional Centre For Innovation And Technology Transfer (RCIiTT) in Szczecin, Poland.
Whether you are a student, academic willing to commercialise your research or maybe early‐stage entrepreneur, change the manner how you communicate your inventions and ideas. The science & tech environment still nurtures a somewhat conservative communication culture. In this workshop, you will learn to apply a more modern mindset, as you are introduced to methods used by professionals in PR, advertising and journalism. The objectives of this event are focusing on:
- Communication in general – five core principles
- Rhetoric – a lightning introduction
- The elevator pitch: how to prepare and use it
- Some notes on LinkedIn
- Effective business writing
- The inverted pyramid style of writing (e.g. for press releases)
The workshops will be performed by Olle Bergman a Swedish communications consultant, educator and freelance writer. With a background in science & tech, he works for organisations like the Swedish Cancer Society, the automotive manufacturer Scania, the software company Softhouse and the medical university Karolinska Institutet.
This lecture is a part of the IMAGINE IF! accelerator programme, designed to inspire and foster grassroots innovation. The business idea competition provides support, mentorship and opportunity to secure capital.
