The research team of Experimental Immunology and Immunobiology of Infectious and Cancerous Diseases was established on October 15, 2020 at the Institute of Biology of the University of Szczecin. Now, the team consists of three researchers, including the leader and two members. Despite its short activity, the team joined many research projects. Currently, the team is carrying out three key research projects:
1. Immunological phenomena important in the course of viral infections, on the example of the Lagovirus europaeus virus;
2. Evaluation of the correlation of the immune system reaction to the development of neoplastic diseases, mainly mediated by viral infections (EBV, HPV);
3.The role of selected immunological indicators (including TLR, CD200, PD-1, PD-L1) as biomarkers of infection.
The laboratory is equipped with modern laboratory equipment, LightCycler 480; BD FACS Canto II flow cytometer and many others.
The expertise offered includes:
• immunological phenomena important in the course of viral infections, on the example of the Lagovirus europaeus virus;
• evaluation of the correlation of the immune system reaction to the development of neoplastic diseases, mainly mediated by viral infections (EBV, HPV);
• the role of selected immunological indicators (including TLR, CD200, PD-1, PD-L1) as markers of infection.
The group is interested in cooperation in:
- project on immunobiology, immunooncology and immunometabomics in human and veterinary studies.
Thematic area - Cluster in Horizon Europe: 1. Health.
