Our experience includes scientific analyses regarding:
- researching the local and regional development level in the area of entrepreneurship, socio-economic development, activity of regional financial institutions;
- public sector functioning and impact of legal regulations (particularly in the fiscal aspect) on the condition of self-government finances;
- measures taken by regional self-governments to mitigate negative socio-economic effects of the COVID-19 epidemic and their impact on the self-government’s finances.
Our team has long-standing experience in arranging platforms for dialogue and experience exchange as well as comparisons in the area of verifying theoretical scientific concepts against practice, implementation of joint ventures in the area of self-government finance, local and regional development. The team cooperates with public sector units, regional financial institutions (e.g. Regional Development Funds, Loan Funds, Credit Guarantee Funds), the National Association of Regional Development Funds. The team also cooperates with the Metropolitan Institute with regard to contemporary concepts of development of cities and regions.

The expertise offered includes:
- analyses of the local socio-economic development levels and the local level of entrepreneurship;
- construction of authorial indicators of local development, focused on analysis of concrete phenomena;
- analyses of results of local administrative units’ activity and its impact on enterprises;
- metropolitan areas;
- analyses concerning business environment institutions;
- financial analyses regarding local administrative units, preparing long-term financial forecasts;
- obtaining funds from the European Union at the regional level;
- impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the functioning and financing of local administrative units;
- analyses of the activity of regional financial institutions and their impact on regional development;
- efficiency of repayable financial instruments functioning , based on the example of the JEREMIE and JESSICA initiatives;
- analyses of the scope and efficiency of microfinance;
- level of economic and financial education of children and youths.

The group is interested in cooperation in:
- research regarding R&D cooperation, its assumptions, stages of implementation and effects, as well as analyses of the effectiveness (in its broad sense) of tools implemented at the local and regional level by public sector units;
- functioning of the public/ self-government sector;
- preparing development strategies for local administrative units;
- functioning of regional financial institutions and their impact on the local and regional socio-economic development;
- regional development with the use of repayable financial instruments, e.g. JEREMIE, JESSICA initiatives;
- research regarding effectiveness and scope of microfinance;
- research regarding the level of economic and financial education of children and youths.
