The team members specialize in the use of quantitative methods supporting wide range of analyses, diagnoses and socio-economic forecasts. The conducted research concern the following main topics:  conducting surveys, modelling the distribution of socio-economic variables, analyzes of socio-economic development, economic forecasting and creating development scenarios, regional statistics, regional innovation systems, sustainability and social or environmental problems of regional space, innovation processes and assessment of effectiveness.

The team also conducts advanced research concerning the dynamics of economic systems, analysis of trends or business cycles, multidimensional co-relations and optimisation of economic models. In this context, the team applies certain solutions for practical applications. The team members are fluent in methods and tools concerning economics, mathematics, statistics and computer science.

The offered expertise includes:
- statistical analysis of socio-economic phenomena – analysis of the structure of the collective data, dynamics of a particular phenomenon, or the relationship between different phenomena, testing of statistical hypotheses;
- modelling of distributions of socio-economic variables;
-  regional statistics analysis: selection of diagnostic variables describing the development of regions, determination of the importance (weights) of individual variables, examination of regional cohesion, creation of rankings on the basis of synthetic measures of development, determination of the impact of EU funds on the development of regions, analysis of the level of sustainable development of regions;
- multidimensional analysis: discriminatory analysis, preference study using conjoint analysis, cluster analysis, multidimensional comparative analysis, objects similarities studies;
